How this site handles the personal information members and admins entrust to it.

Last updated: August 16, 2026

What this site is

This site is an unofficial, member-run portal for a Boise State University Executive MBA cohort. It is not operated by Boise State University or its College of Business and Economics. It is a volunteer project run by Adam Valine ("the site admin") with content contributed by cohort admins and members.

Information we collect

The site stores only what cohort admins or members enter into it. Specifically:

  • Member directory entries: name, optional role/industry, optional email, optional phone, optional LinkedIn URL, optional short bio, optional photo URL.
  • Admin cards: name, email (always publicly visible for cohort admin cards), optional role, photo URL, LinkedIn URL, description.
  • Photos: images uploaded by cohort admins, plus captions and album assignments.
  • Notes: announcements pulled from a linked Google Sheet configured by cohort admins.
  • Calendar events: pulled from a linked Google Calendar configured by cohort admins. Events are read-only via embed — we do not store event data.
  • Deletion requests: when a member requests removal via the site, we store the associated member ID, the reason (if provided), and the timestamp until the request is resolved.

We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, third-party cookies, or advertising code. There is no attempt to identify or track site visitors.

How we handle emails and phone numbers

By default, member emails and phone numbers are stored but hidden from public view. Each entry has separate visibility toggles for email and phone, controlled by the cohort admin. Contact information is only shown publicly if the visibility toggle for that field is explicitly turned on.

Cohort admin cards are the exception: an admin's email is always publicly visible so that members can contact them directly for changes or issues. Do not list yourself as a cohort admin if you are not comfortable with your email being public.

Who has access

The site admin (Adam Valine, adam.valine@gmail.com) has access to all stored data on all cohort branches.

Cohort admins for a given cohort branch have access to that cohort's stored data (branding, calendar URL, member entries including hidden email/phone, photos, notes configuration, and deletion requests). They do not have access to other cohorts' data.

The public sees only what is designated as publicly visible: member names, roles, publicly-toggled email/phone, LinkedIn URLs, bios, photos, admin cards, published notes, and calendar events.

Where data is stored

The site runs on Cloudflare Pages with data stored in Cloudflare KV (structured data) and Cloudflare R2 (uploaded photos). Cloudflare is our infrastructure provider and processes data on our behalf. Their privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Admin authentication is handled by Cloudflare Access, which sends a one-time PIN by email to verify identity. Cloudflare temporarily stores authentication logs per their standard practice.

Linked Google Calendar and Google Sheets content is stored on Google's servers, not on this site. When you interact with an embedded calendar, Google's privacy policy applies.

Data retention

Data is stored indefinitely until a member requests deletion, an admin removes it, or the site is retired. There is no automatic expiration.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • See what we store about you — the public site shows publicly-visible fields; email adam.valine@gmail.com to see all stored fields including hidden ones.
  • Correct information — email a cohort admin or the site admin.
  • Request deletion — click your card on the members page, then "Request deletion." Your card will disappear from public view immediately pending admin review. A cohort admin will then take one of three actions: dismiss the request (card returns to public view), suppress (data retained but permanently hidden from public view), or delete (data permanently removed).

See our Terms & Conditions for the full data deletion procedure.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 18. Do not submit information about anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates take effect when posted. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
